Social Studies

To receive an Advanced Studies Diploma, students are required to earn four credits in a Social Studies course. This must include Virginia & US History and Virginia & US Government. Students must have a minimum of 2 verified credits from SOL courses.

Offerings in Social Studies include:

World Geography
World History & Geography II (1500 to present)
Virginia & U.S. History
Virginia & U.S. Government
World History AP
Economics

U.S. History, U.S. Government and World History are offered as AP courses.

Economics and Sociology are offered as dual enrollment classes through Dabney S. Lancaster Community College.
